We want you to be happy with your purchase from us. Period. If you're not, let us know.
Shipping & Delivery
We pack and ship your orders with the same care we use when hand-crafting our gear right here in Intervale. Most standard orders are processed and leave our shop within 1–3 business days. Sometimes staffing may be tight and it may take 1 or 2 days longer. If you are in a rush to receive something please note that in your order and we'll do everything we can to accomodate.
- Live Quotes: Our shipping calculator quotes actual live carrier rates at checkout.
- Delivery Windows: Standard Ground takes 3–7 business days. Expedited upgrades are available.
- Tracking Logs: You'll receive automated shipping and tracking updates from our ordering system, starting the moment we create your shipping label.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your gear. Period. If something you buy from us doesn't live up to your expectations, we accept returns on qualified online orders within 30 days.
- 30-Day Limit: All returns and exchanges must be processed within 30 days of purchase.
- Condition Check: Returned items must be clean, unused, in original packaging, with tags attached.
- Exchange Postage: Exchanges require an $8 return shipping payment to cover delivery back to you.
- Exclusions: Climbing hardware, safety gear, cut fabric/trim, and consignment items are non-returnable.
Why We Don’t Offer Free Shipping (Most of the Time)
We get it. These days, you can order just about anything online and have it shipped “free.” But here’s the honest truth: e-commerce giants ship millions of packages every day. That astronomical volume earns them massive corporate discounts from global carriers, allowing them to absorb those costs and make shipping appear free.
We are an independent, locally owned business in New Hampshire. We design and manufacture most of our gear right here on-site, one beautiful piece at a time—not by the zillion. Because we don’t ship on a global scale, we don’t get those same deep corporate freight discounts. And honestly, that’s okay with us.
We could easily hide shipping costs by artificially raising the retail prices of our apparel. However, we feel that wouldn’t be fair to our local community members who walk directly into our Intervale retail shop and factory to buy in person. Instead, we keep our prices as fair, stable, and honest as we can for everyone, and simply charge what it costs us to get your order out to you. But, we are always working on finding cheaper ways to ship ouur products to you!
How to Process a Return Online

Processing Notice: Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Once your box lands in Intervale, please allow 3–5 processing days for our staff to verify the item parameters and complete your transaction log.
Ragged Mountain Equipment Brand Guarantee
We proudly manufacture Ragged Mountain Equipment brand products with an unyielding emphasis on craftsmanship and structural quality. Should any product bearing our original label fail due to an authentic defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it at our discretion for the lifetime of the product.
Repairs necessitated by normal wear-and-tear, trail accidents, improper care, or negligence will gladly be performed by our expert sewing crew for a highly reasonable, honest repair fee.
Intake Requirement: Health and safety regulations require that all garments and gear sent to our sewing room arrive clean, completely laundered, and totally empty of pocket debris.
