Why We Don’t Offer Free Shipping (Most of the Time)
We get it. These days, you can order just about anything online and have it shipped “free.”
Here’s the honest truth: companies like Amazon ship millions of packages every day. That volume earns them massive discounts from UPS and other carriers, so they can afford to make shipping seem “free.”
We’re a small business in New Hampshire, and we make most of our gear right here on-site, one piece at a time, not by the zillion. Because we don’t ship on a global scale, we don’t get those same deep discounts. And honestly, that’s okay with us.
We could hide shipping costs by raising our prices, but that wouldn’t be fair to our local customers who shop in person at our store and factory. Instead, we keep our prices as fair and honest as we can for everyone, and simply charge what it costs to get your order safely to your door.

RaggedMountain.com is a secure e-commerce website and acts as conduit for a large amount of sensitive and private data. Specifically addressed herein is payment information, address information, telephone numbers, and other such data commonly given during an online purchase. Utmost care is taken to maintain the privacy of the shoppers who patronize our online store.
It is our strict policy not to share, rent or sell such data to anyone under any circumstances. Shopper data is retrieved only by the staff operating the online store. Specific information is not used for any other purpose. Caveats to this are creation of general statistical data which would not contain any individual’s information, or cooperation with law enforcement investigating a criminal act.
RETURN POLICY

Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase. Returned items must be unused and clean in original packaging with tags and accompanied with the original receipt.
No returns or exchanges after 30 days. Climbing equipment and related web products as well as cut fabric or trim items are not returnable. We do not refund shipping charges.
All exchange requests must provide $8 return shipping payment for delivery back to you. Exchange requests without return shipping payment will be refunded.
RAGGED MOUNTAIN BRAND PRODUCTS GUARANTEE
We proudly manufacture Ragged Mountain Equipment Brand products with an emphasis on quality. Should a Ragged Mountain Equipment label product fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it at our option for the life of the product. Repairs due to normal wear, accident, improper care, or negligence will be performed for a reasonable charge. All items returned for repair must be clean and free of items in pockets.
