No matter the temperature, the Apollo Alp Jacket from Ragged Mountain Equipment performs. This isn't by accident - we traveled the globe to find the optimum materials possible to ensure that the worst weather would be met by the best jacket.
Our craftsmen and women right here in Intervale, N.H. start with materials made by internationally renowned Swiss manufacturer Schoeller® that increase capacity and provide maximum protection. Schoeller uses fabrics woven of synthetic fibers with an exterior layer designed to repel the elements, a middle layer to insulate and protect from the wind, and an interior layer that adjusts to the wearer’s temperature. These layers keep moisture and wind out, but are breathable enough to account for your internal heat.
Schoeller’s fabrics are ideal to navigate the wide range of climates you'll encounter while on a hike or traversing a pitch. These extremely breathable garments are handcrafted right here in our shop using technical Swiss fibers that offer 4-way stretch. That means they’re able to navigate tough climbs while offering the maximum in comfort for the wearer.
