| This updated vest is built from our Mountain Loft premium insulation to keep your core warm without restricting movement. The compressible microfiber structure boasts a remarkable warmth-to-weight ratio, and dries out fast if you're working hard or if you just misread the forecast. The quilted Mountain Loft Vest has a ripstop nylon outer for good resistance to snags. We added stretchy Powerstretch side panels, and the same soft fabric lines the high collar for a comfy gasket-like feel if you want to zip it right up to the top. There are two zippered handwarmer pockets in front, and each is backed by a bonus pouch pocket inside for extra storage. The zippered slash pocket high on the chest gives you a great place to stow your phone or sunglasses. This vest works well as that extra outer layer for evenings that grew colder than you were expecting, but it really comes into its own as a midlayer under a shell or parka for when things are really brutal out there.
