Ragged Mountain's Col lII Jacket is built from Polartec® Wind Pro® fabric for serious performance under a broad range of conditions and activities. Its tight-knit construction balances wind resistance and breathability, and the water repellency is high enough for you to leave your shell in your pack until it's really raining buckets. Four-way stretch means you have unrestricted movement, without resorting to bagginess in the cut.
Features of the Col III include a sculpted, low-profile hood that fits nicely under a helmet, and an elastic waist that's cut lower in the back. We also added thumb-holes at the wrist to seal the cuffs if you're ripping through deep powder, swinging ice tools over your head, or paddling through the whitecaps. You've got nice zippered handwarmer pockets in front, a zippered chest pocket, a couple pouch pockets inside, and a soft windflap behind the full-length front zipper. The renowned toughness of the Wind Pro® fabric is more than prepared for the inevitable abuse you'll be dishing out.
Like a lot of your best gear, the Col III will become a favorite and versatile companion. It's all business when the conditions call for it, but a comfortable old friend when you're just headed out to play some darts at the pub.
