Details

Ragged Mountain Crampon Bags are essential gear for all winter climbers and alpinists. Many of us own two: one for our crampons, and one for our ice screws. In either case, they keep those nicely sharpened points from getting beat up and dulled in the trunk of your car, while also protecting everything you own from getting punctured by those same sharp points! These impregnable little fortresses feature that bomber TruckTarp material for the main panels - the same stuff truckers use to protect their cargo on the highway, and big wall climbers use for their haul bags. A two-way YKK zipper opens along three sides, and there's also a zippered internal pouch for stashing your tools and spare parts. The outside has a slick finish, so cram the whole thing inside your pack if you have room; otherwise use the multi-directional web slots to fix it to your top flap or side compression straps. We even left some web tabs on one end so you can hang it on a nail in your gear closet.
Regular size fits most modern semi-collapsible crampons, with extra room for ice screws, spare picks, etc. 3.25"x5"x12"
Large size fits even the longest fully-rigid crampons (remember FootFangs?), with extra room for screws, etc. 3.25"x5"x16"
